Extreme Skier

Spot the skier in this Pennine Alps photo plummeting down a 3,000ft peak

Just looking at this crazy 4,000-metre-plus vertical peak in Switzerland is enough to give you a tinge of vertigo. But can you imagine plunging over the edge on a pair of skis and descending it free-fall? Well, for Swiss skier Jérémie Heitz, 27, this thought filled him with delight instead of dread, and he tackled the insane run like a pro, living to tell the tale. Photographs capture Heitz in action on a extremely sheer mountain in the Pennine Alps – his tiny silhouette barely distinguishable against the vast, snowy landscape. The extreme sportsman took to the slope while filming an adrenaline-pumping video for Red Bull. For the project he selected 15 of his dream peaks to ski down.
