February 20: Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams
The black and white print his keyboard,
In monumental symphonies
In gray, the man immortalized
America’s wild West: The trees,

Stone monoliths and waterfalls,
Clouds, mountains, sunrays, deserts,
That mystical majestic moonrise
At the Hernandez cemetery

Plays major chords with minor themes
(How America has been blessed!)
His prints illuminate clear notes
That resonate with wilderness.
