Bible Scripture: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
He named the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites complained, and because they tested the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us or not?”
But as for me, my feet almost slipped;
My steps nearly went astray.
Then the rest of the Jews joined his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.
REVELATION CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
1 I saw then a new heaven and new earth,
For the first heaven and first earth had passed
Away, as had the sea, 2 and I, John, saw
The Holy City, New Jerusalem,
As it came down from God in heaven like
A bride adorned, prepared to meet her husband.
3 I heard a loud voice call, “God’s home is now
Among his people, and he’ll live with them.
They’ll be his people; God will make his home
With them; 4 he’ll wipe the tears out of their eyes.
No longer will there be death, suffering,
Crying, or pain, because the former things
Are passed away, 5 and he who sat upon
The throne said, “I make all things new!” 6 He told
Me, “Write this down: These words are true
And can be trusted. It is finished. I’m
The Alpha and Omega, the beginning
And the conclusion. I will give for free
Water from the life-giving fountain to
Everyone who is thirsty. 7 All who win
The victory will take these blessings. I
Will be their God and they will be my people.
8 As for the cowards and the faithless and
The vile, the murderers, the libertines,
The sorcerers, the idol worshipers,
And liars—they’ll be thrown into the lake
That burns with fire and burning sulfur, for
This is the second death.” 9 I saw one of
The seven angels with the seven bowls
Filled with the final seven plagues approach.
He said to me, “Come, I’ll show you the bride,
Wife of the Lamb.” 10 He took me in the Spirit
To a high mountaintop, where he showed me
Jerusalem, the Holy City, which
Came down from God in heaven, 11 and God’s glory
Brightened the city so it dazzled like
A precious jewel, jasper-like, as clear
As crystal, 12 and she had a great high wall
And twelve gates; at the gates, twelve angels. On
The gates were written names of the twelve tribes
Of Israel. 13 There were three gates each to
The north, south, east, and west. 14 The City wall
Had twelve foundations, and on them were names
Of the Lamb’s twelve apostles, 15 and the angel
Who talked with me had a gold measuring stick
To take measurements of the city, and
Its gates and walls. 16 The city was cube-shaped,
As long as it was wide. He took the rod
And measured: it was fifteen hundred miles
In height and fifteen hundred miles in width.
The length and breadth and height of it were equal.
17 The wall, he measured, too: it was about
Two hundred sixteen feet high.
18 The wall was built of jasper, and the city
Of pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The city wall’s
Foundation stones were inlaid with all kinds
Of precious gems. The first foundation was
Jasper; the second sapphire; the third was
Chalcedony; the fourth was emerald; 20 fifth,
Sardonyx; sixth, carnelian; seventh was
Chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz;
The tenth was chrysoprase, eleventh was
Jacinth; and the twelfth one was amethyst.
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate created
Out of a single pearl. The city street
Was made with pure gold, like transparent glass.
22 I saw no city temple. The Lord God
Almighty and the Lamb—they are its temple.
23 The city does not need the sun or moon
To shine on it, because God’s glory gives
It light, the Lamb its lamp, 24 and nations saved
Will walk there by its light; earth’s kings will bring
Their riches into it. 25 On no day will
Its gates be shut, for there will be no night.
26 The nations’ splendid treasures will brought
To it, and nothing impure will go in,
27 Nor will immoral or dishonest people,
But in the City will come only those
With such names the Lamb’s Book of Life discloses.
Scriptures about the Blood of Jesus Christ
but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.
saying, “We gave you strict orders not to continue teaching in this name, and yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.”
1 John 5:6
This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, “SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME; .
For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
1 Corinthians 11:25
In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.”
And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.”
But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh,
and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord,
“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
1 Peter 1:1-2
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.
And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.
And He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.”
whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. “For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. “They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat;
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood– and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father–to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
1 John 1:6-9
If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
1 Corinthians 10:16
Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ?
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. “For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.”
1 Corinthians 11:27
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY ” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.”
