3 I heard a loud voice call, “God’s home is now
Among his people, and he’ll live with them.
They’ll be his people; God will make his home
With them; 4 he’ll wipe the tears out of their eyes.
No longer will there be death, suffering,
Crying, or pain,
In freedom we
Will see Christ reign:
No tears, no pain.
17 The prophet
Isaiah’s scroll was handed him, and when
He had unrolled the scroll, he found the place
Which says: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord’s on me,
Because he has anointed me to preach
The gospel to the poor. He has sent me
To preach deliverance for prisoners,
The blind’s recovery of sight, release
Of the oppressed, 19 and to proclaim the year
Of the Lord’s favor,” 20 then he rolled the scroll
Up, gave it back to the attendant and
Don’t Shackle Me
Don’t shackle me
And my free speech;
Don’t pen me in
Where words won’t reach.
Have stifled growth
And Freedom’s call.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
