Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Stranger in a Strange Land

Stranger in a Strange Land

I’m a stranger in a strange land
Where no one knows my name
I’m a stranger in a strange land
Here the Lord’s name I will proclaim

I will not take their lifeless ways
I shall pursue my Lord
I will not take their lifeless ways
He is my shield, He is my sword

I look and see a hurting world
The answer is the Lord
I look and see a hurting world
He’s near, I’ll live within His courts

The people here, they know me not
Nor do they know my Lord
The people here, they know me not
Yet I shall have my hope restored

The Rock

The Rock

The Rock is Jesus Christ, my love,
He came and gave His life for you.
Descending from His throne above,
In human hurting flesh He grew

In wisdom and maturity
And ministered to men with grace.
He came not to condemn, but through Him
To save the entire human race.

I know that my Redeemer lives:
He stays the same, He won’t be moved.
To him forever my praise I give
Every morning are his mercies new

He shepherds me and meets my needs
He runs to find me when I’m lost—
What lavish love, that He would bleed
For me and pay that precious cost.
